Kevin Henkes has been one of our favorite authors since I can remember, and I can remember quite a lot. His style of illustration is perfect for kids, though the books above are best for age 3 and up whereas there is a little set about holidays that is great for even younger ages (see below). Above are three of our household favorites, though there are many more and we enjoy them all.

If you're looking for a new author/illustrator set to add to your family collection, I highly recommend these (especially to Kate, whose own little Lily reminds me of these books). Enjoy!
